CLASSIFIED IN MY FACE.

It’s a good thing I have to type for blogs and not talk. I can’t even find the words to explain how amazing the concert was last night! When I try to talk about it no words come out, just gibberish. Yesterday evening I went to a concert at the k-rock center with my best friend Jessica. We saw Kay, Karl Wolf, Classified and Hedley. I haven’t been to many concerts but this was my third time seeing Hedley.

I lost it when Classified came on; I’ve been listening to him forever. I couldn’t breathe or function, all I did was stare in awe. Normally I don’t get too excited about things, this was definitely an exception. I still can’t even concept that I was looking and hearing him in person rather than just on the computer.

Like I said, I don’t go to many concerts. This was my 3rd time seeing Hedley and I have all intentions on seeing the band as many times as I can in life. The energy and excitement that Jacob (lead singer of the band) brings to the stage is amazing and so fun. Hedley has never let me down as a fan, all their songs just get better, and all the performances just become more lively and exciting.

Karl Wolf and Kay are two people I don’t exactly listen to. However they both put on a great show! The songs they performed weren’t bad and both of them brought a great energy to the show.

Tonight I’m going to Ottawa, with Jessica. We are going to see These Kids Wear Crowns, All Time Low,  Mariana’s Trench and Simple Plan. Next weeks blog is going to be exciting!

Concert Junkie Best Friend

So it's true, my best friend has one too many obsessions. Concerts are higher up on her obsession list. I can't complain because I do enjoy hearing about the different experiences and bands. She is very descriptive and an excited person so concerts are explained very thoroughly. There are a lot of benefits to having a concert junkie friend. Like learning about new bands and new songs I have never heard of in my life. The best part is knowing about concerts that I haven’t heard of before.

I’ve seen a few people in concert with her; Alyssa Reid, JRDN, Belly, Danny Fernandez. This Thursday we are going to see Hedley, Classified, Kay and Karl Wolf. Then Friday we are seeing Simple Plan, Mariana’s Trench, These kids wear crowns and All time low. I am beyond excited. I have been to two Hedley concerts and I’m absolutely obsessed with them! Simple plan I loved as a kid as well as Mariana’s Trench! I’m sort of in denial that I’m going to see these bands! Jessica is the best person in the world to hangout with, and she is hilarious. When I’m excited I tend to freak out and I can’t even speak English… but she still understands what I’m trying to say!

I’m really lucky to have her as a best friend, and we have fun doing absolute ridiculous stuff constantly. No matter where we are or how terrible our moods are we always manage to laugh and have fun. I’m excited to share these experiences with her and to see some amazing bands!

Food!

There is absolutely nothing that isn’t immaculate about food. Never fails to be the one thing that makes any mood turn amazing. Unless it’s food that belongs in the water… then it’s repulsive. I could talk about food endlessly, which is why I decided it was a wonderful idea to blog about. I couldn’t pick a favorite food if my life depended on it – which is ironic considering my life doesn’t rely strongly on food.

I’m not a fan of greasy foods but I do get my cravings for some body killing fat. Even if I don’t know where the food is necessarily from. I have a sick obsession with chicken, potatoes, fruits/vegetables and poutine. I could talk about chicken for hours. There is nothing that isn’t amazing! Wraps, salad, fingers, nuggets, buckets full of chicken, fajitas, pizza, tacos… chicken on everything! I won’t even get started on potatoes. This blog would end up 10,000 words and I don’t think my professor would be too interested in reading that.

Needless to say, my mood can range from angry to happy but no matter what food can make it better. There’s just something so satisfying about eating! Right now I’m craving some greek salad with chicken. Is it sad that the reason I’m excited for this class to be over is so I can eat, not so I can get out of the school? Food is the one thing that everybody in the world has in common. Food should be a peace religion.
