Worst moment of my life... that’s an exaggeration, but it was bad.

Last Friday I drove up to Ottawa in a blizzard and froze because the driver had on the air conditioning.. CRAZY. I went up there to see a concert with my best friend.  She had early entry so she was in the venue before I got there, holding spots in front row. Well, try getting to front row from the back row after arriving late and the concert had already started. Oh and through a crowd of insane and angry people.

Conveniently Simple Plan has a song called ‘Jump’. It works really well when the whole crowd is jumping and we bolt through everybody. So after two opening bands and the main band playing a few songs, Candace and I got to Jessica in front row!

It was a whole different show from the very front and there is a lot more energy. I have been in love with Simple Plan for years and seeing them live was unbelievable.

After an exciting energetic show, Pierre (the lead singer) was doing an acoustic song. He then jumped off the stage in front of the gate where we were standing. All the fans were pushing and screaming and freaking out, so I just kind of stood there not expecting anything. My hand wasn’t reaching out at all, but was over the gate… and all of a sudden... HE PUT THE GUITAR PICK IN MY HAND! RIGHT IN MY HAND! So then I started crying and freaking out, because he personally put the pick that he played acoustic songs with IN MY HAND!

So I put the guitar pick into some tissue, and shoved it in my pocket. I didn’t want to hold it too long because it had his sweat all over it and then…

Continued next week…
